Good morning. I need to have this old Russian piece restored and I want to be as precise as possible. For this reason, I am looking for drawings, photos, and information. Thank you for your help.

Seems to be a 'Lishin' pre-World War One impact-fuzed stick (hand) grenade.

I had to do an entry on that for the munitions database I work on. This as a few cropped up in Ukraine; see later links below.

Thankfully I had an old manual on the grenade, so it was just a case of OCR'ing that and then trying to cope with the old Russian text.

There are diagrams at the end of the 1913 Russian document, its title 'Описаніе Ручной Гранаты Системы Капитана Лишина'.

Amendment:

I've added the front page and sectional and dimensional diagrams of the grenade.

Here are a couple of pics of mine.
Several turned up in Bristol, in the UK, many years ago.
They are not common.
Let me know if I can help further.

Forgot to ask, does anyone have any info on the Lishin grenade series?
Preferably in English!

There is also a russian booklet "Описание ручной гранаты системы капитана Лишина" (Description of the hand grenade of the Captain Lishin system)

Re-cheers,

Many thanks to Eggburt1969 and to sgdbdr (twice) for info on this grenade, little exists on early, ie pre-Great War, grenades, probably because after the iron ball with lit fuze disappeared from British service after about 1870, it took the Russo-Japanese conflict to resurrect the concept.

No idea online, but I did write a technical information and basic historical overview entry for the system I work on. Not available for free I'm sorry to say.
