really nice description of the place of manufacture: "Waffenstadt Suhl" = "Weapon City Suhl" Today it seems to be forbidden beeing proud manufacturing weapons.
you are right don, it is just funny to read this label as today nobody in germany would even think about writing something like this
After 1945 in the G.D.R. they produced small motorbikes "Schwalbe" (swallow) in Suhl. These bikes had a factory label "Jagdwaffenwerk Suhl" which translates "Hunting arms factory" so many people called their bikes "Jagdschwalbe"
