Sorry Andy, I was a bit behind. I was surprised that Maltby made fuzes given their small arms work. I probably only have a subset of the info that TimG so if he couldn't find SMG then nor will I but I will take another look. Presumably the idea that Singer Manufacturing Co (of Glasgow) might be contender has been aired and dismissed, their monogram was officially SMC during the war but I wonder if post-war monograms were able to be revised - I dont have any post-war info on manufacturers markings but Tim might have.
