This is one I corralled back in the summer. Put this grasshopper in today for his snack. Previously, it'd take a few days before he would attack his dinner. Today, he took it out almost immediately. The poison paralyzed the grasshoper in about 10 seconds. It'll take him a few days to eat it. And, he only eats the rear, soft parts. They exude their saliva onto the meal where external digestion takes place, then suck up the juices.
And no, I haven't been stung. Yet. But then, I don't go stickin' my hand down in there either.
