Another Ebay find, and glad I wasn't out bid. The threads are 1.7x14TPI, length is 4.77". Brass body and aluminum windshield. Timing marks but no numbers. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Bruce.

Thanks, MINENAZ16, that's kind of what I was thinking, but I have no references to confirm my supposition. Any info on the M38 105mm HE is scarce and the M2 MT Fuze is only briefly mentioned. I do know that the M3 AA gun that fired it goes back to 1928, having found a 1928 dated picture showing a line of them firing at Aberdeen. Hopefully someone else has other pieces of this puzzle. Ah HA! You had the piece all along!!!:tinysmile_twink_t2: That's the same publication I have with the fuze being mentioned. I see yours has the booster attached. Mine is missing the booster and the internals (set back hammer and clockwork mechanism. Mine might have been a lunch pail liberation since the numbers aren't stamped and the bottom holes still have the drill burrs. Nice to see that you also have the M6 casing. I despair of ever finding one here. Thanks again.
