The fuze is a russian pressure fuze for AP bounding mines, model MVN-2M .
The body houses a spring-loaded striker under a three-pronged plunger.
The striker is locked by two retaining balls, which are seated within a narrow section of the fuze body. A safety pin pass through a hole in the plunger to secure against downward movements. The lower end of the fuze body is internally threaded and normally screwed over an adaptor containing a percussion primer.
