US M46 Fuze?

Attached are some photos of what I believe is a US M46 impact fuze, based upon the markings. I am not an expert on fuzes but this appears to be a copy of French WW 1 percussion fuze, to the degree that it will thread into a French 75mm HE round.

For clarity the markings are: PA P.D.F M46 Lot 7269-14 P.A. 9-37

I am making the assumption that this example was produced in September 1937.

You are correct on your statements, that fuze was used on a number of US 75mm rounds, I can't remember if it fit the chemical rounds or but one used on them was an exact copy. We called them "Donkey Dick" fuzes, everytime we found on on the range at Ft Sill we treated it like chemcial until a better assessment could be made.
