USS Fitzgerald and McCain collision reports

This near second X second report of each collision is amazing. I was a helmsman on a CLG for two weeks, back in the day. Way out in the middle of the Med. with nothing around. There was always an experienced crew on hand whenever we got into traffic, but I was up there watching and can appreciate what transpired. Both USN bridge crews really, badly, screwed the pooch. Besides the careers ended, 17 folks died. Very sad.

Two seemingly unprecedented collisions. Reports in the UK press suggested possible Chinese or Russian jamming of electronics. First line of defence is the Mk I eyeball.
