WWII Russian MD-2 Base Fuse for 45mm Armor Piercing Projectiles - Tanks and AT Guns

I found something new screwed into the bottom of my new 45mm AP. I have several MD-5 base fuses, but this is the first MD-2 that I have ever seen. Compared with a more common MD-5 with its aluminum, cone shaped tracer. MD-2 is dated 1935. MD-5 is dated 1938.

Nice one, I used to have one, but in much worse condition than Yours.
As it was the only one I had ever seen, the EOD school got it.
The projectile it came from was B-240, flat under the ballistic cap and had different cavity than the regular BR-240.
