New Nebelwerfer 41

Maybe it would be easier to make a disk of the thickness of the recess (2/3 mm?) and put a square hole in it,
(like one of the above filler plugs) and leave it at that?

It would save a lot of trouble.
To get a plug with the thread size (40 mm) and then to get it to cover flush with the Rocket, is going to very hard indeed. :ahhhhh:

I would love a genuine one but... :dontknow:

Just received this, why is my adapter different? it's too small the screw into the pocket.

Could it be for a different type Rocket?

My one would need another piece to fit into the Rocket :hmmmm2:

Here a Fllschraube for you. I know where this wreck is, but am not going there before next summer. If it still then is actual I'll go there.

I'm going to have one made my friend, it won't be a screw in, but some thing that just slots into the thread hole.

That Fullschraube looks a little worse for wear :bawling:, but thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Finally found out that my adapter is wrong, it isn't for a Nebelwerfer Flamm., the only adapter was the "Munlochbuchse Fl."

So it is more clearer now. :)

Wow, That looks like pages from a book that would be very nice to have !!! Can you find out the name of it ?

Just received my manual D-444/2839 and I agree, this isn't it. It has some different pictures, but with German text. :hmmmm2:

I'll try and find the source... :questionmark:

Second mock up of the Filler cap and starting to look the part.

I didn't want them to look perfect, and hopefully this set will do?

Also, a Rocket motor has been found and purchased and received.

It looks like one of the Belot documents, that is where I would start looking.

Here is the inside of the Rocket thread pocket, and as you can see it's badly corroded and damaged.

The thread on the motor is in perfect condition.

A clean with a wire brush might help but, hopefully the Rocket will accept the motor any way. Fingers crossed.

Here is the newly purchased Rocket motor.

A bit rusty and with some stenciling, a good clean will probably remove the letters, but I will probably have them redone when it's painted.

I'm finally getting all the parts, still need the fuze adapter "Mundlochbuchse", but one will probably have to be made??

Finally got the filler cap in place. Nice fit considering.

Based on the top left cap (bottom picture) and a original one (picture 4).

Doesn't screw in, just fits nicely in the pocket.

I'm happy. :congrats:
