Crownhill Fort is about a mile from my house, there is a book out about the building of the Moncrief carriage and the 110pdr Armstrong plus lots of photo's of older Canon's. It is Guns and Carriages by Austin C Carpenter and published by Halsgrove ISBN 1 84114 027 9, I do not have any connection with the author or publisher's, its a nice book just over a 100 pages.
