So that is why I found the scale off. Then I'm not sure. Only other thing I can think of due to your navy comment is a mk 7 canister style like the mk 20 rockeye. but that's just a shot in the dark
Correct Stray! Very well done! Attached is US-Subs' photo of the sectioned 16 inch projectile. You can see my item directly below the fuze. The expulsion charge container normally holds 400 grams of M9 Mortar propellant which provides the gas to eject the submunitions and baseplate over the target.
