BOCN Guess what it is

Ok, as interest seems to be llittle:
It is an "EPU" electric firing pin which is basically propelled by a bridge wire ignitner. It is used with the "EKSR" flare gun (2 variants exist: cal 4 and cal 1) which is an organic aircraft part. So firing is electrical while the cartridges are percussion primed. As said it is a German WWII development which was used by the Soviets in all of their aircrafts and sowith spread around the half world.

That was a good one! I've never heard of these and have no idea how they work. Do you have any info on them please?

Pointblank, nice to see at least 1 cares.

Here a sectioned view of the EPU (ignore the Chinese):

The EKSR-46 "gun" itself is a 4-barel device where just the muzzles are visible from outside the aircraft. Tha barrels are all in one row.

Not a gain.
Yes its a finished cartridge (so technically the final part of a draw set) but which type of cartridge?
Here's another view of it.
Dave.
