When a bomb is hung outside on a bomb rack, air flows around it during flight .... among other things, which would cause the propeller to unscrew unintentionally and thus unlock the fuse .To prevent this from happening at a time when it is not required, there is this device that blocks /unblock the rotation of the propeller. When the bomb is dropped from the rack, the part that blocks the propeller is torn off and allows the air pressure to rotate the propeller.

Got it, it's a language/terminology thing. We would just use the term arming for the entire process, disarming would be more like a render safe procedure. Thanks
